VW International, Inc. (VWI), and is proud to announce a new opportunity for those interested in obtaining the Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) credential. Up until recently, participants only had the option to attend a two-day seminar/exam program, or take the online exam at a Kryterion HOST location.
VWI is now offering participants the flexibility of deciding how to proceed with the examination portion of this training. Participants can either register for the conventional two-day program, taking the certification exam on the afternoon of the 2nd day; or based on how familiar and comfortable they are with the course material, opt to only attend the seminar on the 2nd day to review content in the morning session and take the certification exam in the afternoon.
In addition to shortening the amount of time spent in training and away from the office, an overall cost savings can be achieved by choosing the accelerated option. Ideally, participants that are experienced healthcare safety professionals that can rely on their existing knowledge, experience and self-study, to benefit most from the one (1) day program option.
Prospective participants should contact VWI at least 6 to 8 weeks prior to the scheduled exam date to receive the study materials and practice/self-paced exam.
Organizations can take advantage of discounted course costs by sponsoring training programs for their members or associates. VWI will provide training for groups of up to 75 participants at locations provided by the sponsoring organization. The sponsoring organization must also agree to provide audio-visual support and accommodations for meals.
Regularly scheduled courses for the CHSP are provided for individuals or groups in select cities across the United States. The current cost for a scheduled two day course is $700 ($400 for the course + $300 for the Board’s application and exam fees). For the one day program, the Board’s two fees remain the same ($300) but the cost for the morning review and sitting for the exam is reduced to $150, per person. That is a savings of $250 per person. And even better, if you are taking both the CHEP and CHSP in the same year, the Board is not requiring a second application fee. All currently scheduled courses are listed by the city in which they will be offered.
VWI is dedicated to helping you and/or your organization achieve success in your professional endeavors. Contact Paul Richter at pvr@vwi.com or by phone at (803) 609-5924 for more information.
Enhance not only your knowledge, but your professional credentials as well.
